Shots in the Dark: True Crime Pictures is an exhibition curated by Gail Buckland. It includes forensic photography, mug shots, tabloid images of gangsters, and crime scenes recorded by both police and criminals. These fascinating images raise issues about the pornography of violence, violence and women, surveillance in contemporary society and the depiction of death as the last representational taboo.
Exhibition ends March 15, 2003
