Crystal Fort—Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie, 2000. Original design of a full size fortress made of glass, to be built along the Waterlinie as a major tourist attraction to create revenues for the reclamation plans laid out in the 25-year, 85 km masterplan by the artist.

Poetry Walk: Reflections—Pools of Thought

2000. 20 granites, 4x5 feet each, carved with poetry and writings by poets and philosophers from around the world were embedded into the lawn at the University of Virginia. 540x60 feet.  A permanent installation commissioned by the University and the University Art Museum, Charlottesville, Va.
